Gentle Correction That Actually Lasts
The loudest correction rarely produces the deepest change. Scripture keeps showing us a quieter way — one that trades fear for formation.
Speak to the heart, not the behavior
Behavior is the smoke; the heart is the fire. When we ask 'what were you feeling?' before 'what were you doing?', we teach children to read themselves with grace.
Repair is part of the lesson
Modeling apology — even a mother's own apology to her child — teaches more about the gospel than a dozen tidy lectures.
Consistency, not intensity
Small, calm consequences repeated over time reshape a household. Big explosions rarely do.
The long view
