Verses to Pray Over a Fearful Child
Fear visits children at strange hours and in strange shapes. Scripture is one of the softest, sturdiest tools we have to meet it.
2 Timothy 1:7
'For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.' Speak it slowly. Let each word settle.
Isaiah 41:10
'Fear not, for I am with you.' Nine small words. Enough for any dark room.
Psalm 4:8
'In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.' A perfect bedtime whisper.
Making it a habit
Choose one verse for the week. Say it at bedtime, in the car, before school. Repetition is not boring — it is building.
